This software for Linux, Mac OS X and FreeBSD allows users to create a genre of computer art known as fractal art. The Wikipedia entry for fractal art can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal_art

The software can be used by anybody but if you want some control over the outcome having a knowledge of finite mathematics and topology is helpful.
