Mastodon is web-based software that allows users to be part of a community-based microblogging federation. Each user can join a Mastadon server or start their own community server and all servers can communicate with each other. Mastadon has features similar to Twitter so links, photos, text, ect. can be microblogged and shared throughout the network.
