Since there is a lot of uncertainty I am taking a chance and using all the steem currently available in my wallet to buy steem-engine tokens. I just saw ENG is super cheap right now.

I hope that steem-engine will eventually migrate to hive. That is one of the things holding me back from making a full transition over to hive.
