South Park is an American animated sitcom targeted for an adult audience created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The original network for South Park is the Comedy Central television network which aired the pilot episode on August 13, 1997. As of August 2018 South Park has had 21 seasons and each episode has a running time of 22 minutes.

The South Park series revolves around four boys: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, and Eric Cartman. South Park also has a large ensemble cast of recurring characters. Most episodes feature a story-line in which the four main characters have a bizarre adventure in and around the fictional town of South Park, Colorado.

South Park is well known for its mature profanity, dark humor and satirizing a wide range of topics that can be anything from race to religion.
