Daleks are one of the most feared alien warrior species in the Doctor Who universe. They are violent and merciless mutants created by Davros using genetic engineering. Before Davros' experimentation caused mutation Daleks were members of the Kaled race. The homeworld of the Daleks is Skaro.

Each Dalek mutation is cased in a mobile metal armored shell. The casing is fitted with a mechanical eyestalk, gunstick and manipulator arm.

Daleks demand total conformity to their will. The psychology of Daleks is rooted in extreme xenophobia. The collective goals of the Dalek race are conquest of the entire Universe and the extermination of all life that isn't Dalek.
