Hede.io Entry: Cryptocurrency Faucet

A cryptocurrency faucet is a reward system, usually being a website or mobile application, that gives out payments in the form of a cryptocurrency such as bitcoin or litecoin. Each successful claim from a cryptocurrency faucet is generally a small fraction of value and a withdrawal isn't allowed until a certain payment threshold is reached. This may mean having to make multiple claims before a payment can be received by the faucet user.

Payments are made to cryptocurrency faucet users in exchange for completing a CAPTCHA or task described by the faucet. The amount of claims that can be made using any one cryptocurrency faucet are usually restricted by an amount of time between claims.

According to Wikipedia the first cryptocurrency faucet was developed in 2010 and was called "The Bitcoin Faucet".
