If you're reading this in 2009 then by all means fire up that T-Mobile G1  and start mining bitcoin.

If you are reading this in 2018 them just forget about mobile mining. First, I guarantee at least a few of those Android "mining" applications are scams. Google Play could do a lot better policing that area but for some reason they don't. Also, if you're going to pool mine you're far better off using a desktop computer plugged into an electric socket. Mobile phones really aren't designed for mining and you're just using up the phone battery's life even faster.

My advice is mine cryptocurrency through ASICs or just do PoR using Gridcoin because that kind of crypto mining benefits science.
