It's now February 2019 and still no publicly available holodecks yet. While we're waiting for them let's make do with the augmented reality we currently have.
Maybe Santa didn't give you that electronics kit you wanted or your old electronics kit was confiscated by F.B.I. agents after you accidentally discovered free energy. In either case to build simple electronic circuits all you need at minimum is a smartphone with the AR Circuits app and a computer printer with paper. If you can link your smartphone to the printer then go to the AR Circuits website and print out component cards, cut them out and start building functional electronic circuits in a virtual environment.
