This kit is a safe way for kids 8 years old and older to learn about radio technology. No soldering is required and it only requires one 9-volt battery to operate. Once assembled the radio can receive commercial broadcast radio stations. It can't transmit but this kit might help to inspire future radio engineers to learn more so they can one day get an amateur radio license.
