Today was National Barcode Day. Out of curiosity I went on-line to find out if barcodes can be 3D printed. Yes, barcodes can be 3D modeled and printed with plastic filament but it seems like QR codes are more likely to be 3D printed by someone in the year 2021.

For 3D printers that aren't monochromatic there's LayerCode.

When thinking about possibilities open source is a good route for the creative mind and there are several open source projects dealing with barcode scanners.
