Protecting the Keys to the Kingdom
It’s hard to be an expert at everything, and using a team of experts, especially for something criminal, exposes them to vastly higher odds of something going wrong, even if just because the more people who know of a secret, or secret plan, the more likely that secret gets out or exposed.
Which is why two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead. That above quote from the Isaac Arthur video is also one of the reasons I think bitcoin had only one creator. A second person could have spent their share of bitcoin or gone public.
Do you have your Hive keys safe from theft and backed up? There's an account recovery option but it's better to not get in a bad situation. While watching this Isaac Arthur video about cybersecurity I was thinking about my experience with Twitter. My account was hacked and I am pretty sure I know who did it. Unfortunately Twitter didn't want to help me get my account back. I think with Hive's account recovery I don't have to deal with an uncaring centralized power as long as I have the keys to my recovery account @memehive. Hopefully I never need to test that.
