I watched another video from the Isaac Arthur YouTube channel. This time it was about a few of the possible technosignatures that might come from extraterrestrial civilizations. Stars dimming and voids with few galaxies over a large volume of space can naturally occur. It's possible though that stars can seem to dim or vanish if an alien civilization were to start to cover their home stars to harvest as much power as possible or send the stars into artificial black holes to store the power for long term energy harvesting.
